JR Rivera
Co-Founder & CEO
I grew up in West Point, Nebraska but moved around quite a bit. I served in the U.S. Marines for four years where I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. I began business school at National University in La Jolla, California, and finished up at the University of Nebraska- Omaha in 2015. I have two beautiful daughters, Keila (8) and Melanie (4). They are my world and keep my schedule very busy.
I started my insurance career working for one of the largest State Farm Agencies in Nebraska, as sales manager. In 2020, I made the jump to Independent Insurance. Over the last several years, my mission has been to make insurance a simpler process while getting our clients the best fitting coverages in the market.

My name is Luis Medina Lopez. Born and raised in West Point, NE. Proud older brother of 5 siblings: Naydeli, Mckeyla, Scott, Valerie, and Dakota. I enjoy spending time with friends and family and love self-development. Every now and then I like to go see the mountains and really take in the nature around me. One interesting fact about me would be that I’m a HUGE car guy.

My name is Trevor Devney. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and moved to Omaha, Nebraska around kindergarten. I graduated from Millard North High School in 2014 then went to pursue a degree in Agribusiness from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln which was achieved in 2018. I worked as a captive agent right after college and enjoyed the insurance industry for about two years. After taking on some new adventures, I decided to get back into insurance as that is where I always felt I could serve my community the most. My hobbies consist of snowboarding, grilling, and hanging out with my 15lb dog named Biggie.

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Millard North High School. I then attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated in 2010. I am married to my lovely wife, Michelle Jaffery, and have two kids, Sofia and Jonah. I enjoy spending time with my family, good friends, golfing and soccer.

My name is Maggie Ortega, I grew up here in Omaha, Nebraska. I attended Bryan High School. I have raised 4 beautiful daughters, their names are Nathalia, Gabriella, Samantha & Mirella. We love spending time together at home just hanging out. When we do go out, we love to take road trips to discover new places.
I have been in selling and servicing insurance for over 12 years. Being the Operations Manager I have much knowledge on the subject matter of sales, service, and claims. I truly enjoy my career and the opportunity to help our clients.

My name is Dawn Cate, I was proudly raised in LaVista Nebraska and graduated from Papillion High School with my twin sister Becca. I share 5 children with my awesome husband. We now live in Iowa and have a small acreage that we care for. When we want to get back to nature we pack up and go to our home in the Black Hills in South Dakota. I also have 3 grandchildren that I love spending my time with as well.
I have been working in insurance since I was 25 years old and love the insurance industry. I have worked on the service side as well as sales side and have enjoyed doing both.
